IN PHILLY

I proudly called Philly my home for years and was heartbroken to see the systemic issues in the city that contributed to my own horrific experiences. I started this initiative because I know that others are not able to get help the way that I was. Issues like police morale, homelessness, corruption in city hall, and judicial corruption contribute to inescapable situations for so many Philly citizens and small businesses. We need leaders who really care to help and change these things.

THE ISSUES

ORDERS OF PROTECTION

I was repeatedly told “I have to be in a relationship with my abuser” to get a protection order. Why was this? Per PA legislature, I should have been able to get one.

POLICE MORALE

It’s obvious the morale of the Philadelphia police officers is quite low. Why is this? What can the city do to fix it?

SQUATTING LAWS

I had someone squatting in my commercial building with a baby for years. Why was this allowed without consequence and where was Child Protective Services?

JUDICIAL CORRUPTION

There needs to be judicial accountability and a thorough review of all judges in this city. I experienced unjust treatment from Judge Paula Patrick when trying to take action against my abuser.

HOMELESSNESS

The homelessness in Philly is off the charts and is only getting worse. Why? Where are the programs to support our citizens?

POLICE REPORTS & ACCOUNTABILITY

What is the process after filing a police report? Why was there no action taken after I filed countless reports? I received very little support from police and can only imagine the neglect that others experience.
